Managing School
Some people have to drop out of high school, college, or a vocational program because of their illness. They often wonder if they will ever be able to finish and get their degree. The answer may depend on the following:
- How severe your illness is
- How well your medicine is working for you
- How much support you have from others
- How well you are able to avoid relapses
- "It was easier to take one class at a time because I had a lot of time to do the assignments"
- "I lived at home instead of in the dorm because it was quieter and my concentration was better"
- "Think about switching to a smaller school. I went to a big university, but now I go to a small school where the classes are smaller, and I like it much better"
